Founder and CEO of PESCA Environnement, Marjolaine Castonguay heads one of the most trustworthy consulting firms in the environment field in Québec.

Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in biology, earned at Université du Québec à Rimouski and a Master’s degree in Biology earned at Université Laval, she developed her first expertise in the aquatic field, principally by working with salmon rivers.

An experienced manager, she won the 2003 Mercure in the category Contribution to economic and regional development category awarded by the Fédération des chambres de commerces du Québec. An economic leader in the Gaspésie – Îles-de-la-Madeleine administrative region, Castonguay values the development of new expertise in the region, the knowledge economy, the promotion of post-secondary education and academic excellence, messages that she regularly carries into the public arena. In 2007, she served as chair of the region’s advisory committee for Canada Economic Development.
